If you’re on the hunt for an affordable massage chair, one of the many offerings from MCombo might be just what you’re looking for. In this MCombo massage chair review, we introduce you to all of the company’s massage chair models to help you narrow down your options.
About MCombo
While the vast majority of massage chair companies offer only massage chairs — e.g. Osaki, Titan, and Human Touch among others — MCombo’s list of products extends into many other consumer categories. They make everything from trampolines, chicken coops, and carports, to treadmills, barber chairs, and cell phone accessories.
Among their extensive and varied collection of products, MCombo makes a whole host of massage chairs. And unlike the more well-known massage chair brands, all of MCombo’s chairs cost well under $1,000. This makes them some of the most affordable on the market.
As you’ll see in the following reviews, MCombo massage chairs aren’t as high-tech or advanced as those of other companies. None of the models feature real roller massage, which is standard on most modern robotic massage chairs. You also won’t find an extensive menu of massage techniques and automatic massage programs.
What you will find, however, are massage chairs that could easily replace your favorite recliner, sofa, or TV chair. Most of the MCombo massage chairs in this review don’t look like massage chairs at all. Instead, they look like standard pieces of furniture.
So if you’re looking for a high-tech, all-inclusive, full-body massage chair complete with 3D rollers, dozens of massage techniques and programs, and a built-in music system, the MCombo massage chairs likely aren’t for you. But if you’re only upgrading the furniture in your living or entertainment room and want the welcome bonus of some massage features, there’s likely a MCombo massage chair with your name on it. Let’s get into the reviews…

OUR VERDICT | A great option for entertainment rooms, but shouldn’t be counted on for therapeutic massage. | A low-price chair that looks like an executive office chair, but has limited massage features. | One of MCombo’s more feature-rich chairs with full-body massage capabilities, but lacking many desirable features common to most robotic massage chairs. | A very low-priced chair that looks more like a sofa than a massage chair. Perfect if you’re upgrading the furniture in your family room or home theater. |

MCombo Electric Armchair 6151-7902
The MCombo 6151-7902 is a casual TV armchair-style massage recliner, available in two attractive colors: black and cream white.
It is a two-piece set with the main chair and separate leg ottoman. The chair features a swivel base, and you can position the ottoman anywhere you’d like. It’s a great chair for use in entertainment rooms or home theaters.
Like most of the MCombo massage chairs, the 6151-7902 features vibrating massage nodes instead of the more typical track-mounted massage rollers found in the majority of modern massage chairs.
The massage nodes are mounted in stationary positions throughout the chair — four in the back, two in the seat, and two in the leg ottoman. Each set of nodes can be operated individually or all at once using the remote control to make selections.
The chair can be reclined up to 120 degrees, but it’s a manual system requiring the use of a lever — similar to a traditional non-massage recliner. There’s a pocket on the side of the chair where you can conveniently store the remote and other small items. Other than that, the chair is relatively straightforward and what you see is what you get.
While the MCombo 6151-7902 doesn’t offer much in the way of therapeutic massage other than vibration node massage — which is reportedly very light — it would make a great addition to any room in the house.

MCombo Electric Armchair 6151-7903
Very similar to the first chair on the list, the MCombo 6151-7903 is also a two piece set with a swivel base chair and separate ottoman. It has the appearance of an executive office chair, making it ideal for office or professional settings, but would also work well in a game room or home theater.
Eight vibration massage nodes are located throughout the chair — four in the backrest, two in the seat, and two in the leg ottoman. The chair manually reclines 120 degrees and freely rotates on its swivel base.
Additionally, a side storage pocket provides a place to store the chair’s remote, your TV’s remote, or your favorite book.
The main difference between this chair (6151-7903) and the previous chair (6151-7902) is purely aesthetic. You’ll notice that the first chair has a more plush appearance along with closed-side armrests. Meanwhile, this chair is more sleek with open-sided armrests. Other than that, the chairs both have identical features.

MCombo Electric Massage Chair Full Body Shiatsu – 6160-8886
The MCombo 6160-8886 is one of the company’s more robust offerings. It’s a full-body automatic massage chair with an appearance similar to chairs made by well-known companies like Osaki, Apex, and Kahuna. But although it looks like a higher-end chair, it’s priced extremely low — less than $900. And with the low price comes fewer features and more basic massage technology.
The chair’s main massage functions come from 20 pulsing massage balls located throughout the chair — twelve in the backrest, six in the waist area, and two in the neck area. When activated, the massage balls perform pulsing movements, massaging the muscles they’re in contact with.
Accompanying the pulsing massage balls is an air massage system. Airbags are located all throughout the chair, providing compression and kneading massage for the head, back, arms, hips, and legs. The armrests conceal special hidden arm massage wells that are lined with airbags, and the leg ottoman features several airbags that massage the legs and feet.
Both the massage balls and the airbags are utilized in the chair’s multiple auto massage programs as well as through manual controls. The automatic programs provide a hands-off massage experience, and the manual controls give you a greater degree of flexibility in your massage experience. Still, the programs, massage techniques, and customization options of the MCombo 6180-8886 are limited by most standards.
One of the best features of the MCombo 6160-8886 is Zero Gravity. With a fully powered backrest and leg ottoman, the chair can move into the Zero Gravity position automatically using the remote. In this position, the backrest reclines nearly parallel with the floor, and the leg ottoman comes up slightly higher than the upper body.
Laying in the Zero Gravity position is an excellent way to completely unwind and release tension while also increasing your body’s downward pressure against the massage balls for a deeper massage.
In addition to the core massage components, the chair features heating pads in the lower back portion of the backrest and the leg ottoman. Adding heat to a massage is an excellent way to loosen up the muscles for deeper relaxation.
The chair is built on a sturdy steel frame that assures it will hold up over many years of regular use. Due to the frame, the chair is quite heavy, but the addition of wheels on the bottom make the chair much easier to move.
Overall, the MCombo 6160-8886 is a decent massage chair for the money. In comparison with similarly priced chairs from more well-known brands, it generally lacks the desirable features. Primarily, the track-mounted massage rollers — that are widely standard on modern massage chairs. Still, it’s a chair worth checking out.

MCombo Massage Sofa Chair – 7090
Unfortunately, this product has been DISCONTINUED. Check out other products we have reviewed here.
The MCombo 7090 is a sofa-style massage chair that could easily be mistaken for a conventional living room recliner. With its overstuffed cushions made of highly elastic foam and its synthetic leather upholstery, it will pass as standard furniture and give you the bonus of hidden massage features.
The chair’s only massage function comes from eight vibrating massage nodes that massage the head, back, lumbar area, and legs. There aren’t any real massage techniques or automatic programs to speak of.
But with the remote, you can turn the nodes on and off in different zones of the chair to customize your massage experience to a limited degree. In addition to the massage nodes, the chair also features a heating system to warm the muscles of the back.
For maximum comfort, the chair can be reclined up to 165 degrees while the footrest simultaneously lifts up. Reclining the chair is done manually using a lever on the side of the chair — just like a standard reclining sofa.
Extra features such as the side storage pocket and swivel base add extra layers of usability and practicality to the chair. It’s built on a heavy-duty steel frame that gives the chair a high user weight rating of 480 pounds. It’s a great looking, highly versatile chair that’s perfect if you’re looking for a new recliner with massage features.

OUR VERDICT | With comfortable cushioning and drink holders, and heating this chair is ideal for game rooms and anywhere else where comfort is a priority. | While the massage technologies of this chair are very limited, it’s one of the lowest-priced full body massage chairs on the market and would be a good option for those on a shoestring budget. | Although its stationary massage nodes aren’t ideal, this chair offers full body massage combined with Zero Gravity and heat therapy for less than $1,000. |

MCombo Massage Recliner Sofa Chair – 8031
If you’re searching for the ideal massage recliner for a home theater, this is it. The MCombo 8031 is a sofa-style massage recliner, similar to the previous models on the list.
However, unlike the MCombo’s other sofa-style chairs, this particular model features drink holders — just like the seats in a movie theater.
Like many MCombo’s other models, the chair provides massage with eight vibrating massage nodes. The nodes massage the head, back, hips, and legs, and the different zones can be turned on and off using the chair’s remote. When you aren’t using the remote, you can stash it in the chair’s convenient side pockets.
Featuring manual lever recline, the chair drops back a full 150 degrees, and the leg rest comes up to help you achieve the most comfortable position possible. The chair is built on a steel frame so it’s very sturdy and it has a swivel base to allow for 360-degree rotation.
In addition to the massage nodes, the chair also features heating pads in the seat, adding a gentle warmth to the massage. So while the MCombo 8031 doesn’t offer the most therapeutic massage on the market, it’s an excellent choice for entertainment rooms where comfort is a priority.

MCombo New Electric Full Body Shiatsu Massage Chair Recliner – 8881
The MCombo 8881 is one of the company’s three full-body Shiatsu massage chairs. It’s the most basic of the three, and appropriately, is the lowest priced. In fact, it’s one of the lowest priced shiatsu massage chairs on the entire market, coming in at less than $300.
18 fixed-position rotating massage rollers are located throughout the chair, providing the chair’s primary massage method. There are six rollers in the upper portion of the chair providing massage for the neck and shoulders, and 12 in the middle and lower backrest to massage the back and waist. While these rollers don’t roll up and down the back like traditional track-mounted rollers, they do a decent job massaging the muscles they contact.
The chair uses a set of special vibration plates in the seat and leg ottoman, providing vibration massage for the buttocks, thighs, and calf muscles. Vibration massage doesn’t provide the same kneading or compression that rollers or airbags do. But, it is known to stimulate and enhance blood flow, help release tension, and induce relaxation in the muscles.
To help you get comfortable and completely relax, the MCombo 8881 features powered recline, lowering the backrest up to 175 degrees. The chair is built with a sturdy steel frame and has built-in wheels at the bottom to make moving the chair easier.
While basic in function and massage options, it’s hard to find fault with a massage priced so low. So if you are on an extremely tight budget but still want the luxury of a massage chair at home, the MCombo 8881 is a great option.

MCombo Electric Massage Chair 6160-0008
Unfortunately, this product has been DISCONTINUED. Check out other products we have reviewed here.
The most feature-rich and thereby most expensive massage chair made by MCombo is the 6160-0008. But even though it’s the company’s highest-end model, with a price tag of less than $1,000, it’s still priced very low in comparison to the bulk of massage chairs available today.
The design of the chair is very similar to popular massage chairs made by companies like Osaki, Apex, and Kahuna. However, like all of MCombo’s massage chairs, the 6160-0008 does not feature real track-mounted massage rollers. Instead, it has 20 fixed-position pulsing massage balls throughout the backrest. These massage balls massage the head, back, arms, and hips and are used in the chair’s multiple automatic programs.
In addition to the fixed-position massage balls, the chair also features an air massage system. Airbags in the upper portion of the backrest massage the head; airbags in the seat massage the hips; and airbags in the foot ottoman massage the calves and feet.
Additionally, the chair features hidden armrests lined with airbags that provide compression massage for the arms and hands. Each airbag zone can be used on its own or altogether, and the intensity of the air massage can be adjusted using the remote.
Featuring full powered recline and leg ottoman elevation, the chair offers real Zero Gravity recline capabilities. Entering Zero Gravity mode is achieved using the remote, which lowers the backrest nearly parallel to the floor. At the same time, the leg ottoman simultaneously brings the legs and feet up slightly higher than the heart. In this position, the chair fully supports your body, allowing for deep relaxation and a full release of tension. It also helps the massage balls penetrate deeper into your back for a more invigorating massage.
Like the other MCombo massage chairs, the 6160-0008 is built on a sturdy and stable steel frame and has built-in wheels to make maneuvering the heavy chair easier. While this chair doesn’t have a roller track system like most modern robotic massage chairs do, it’s worth considering if you’re shopping for a massage chair in the sub-$1,000 price range.
