The LM 9100 is built solid with an elegant futuristic design. The dimensions are 60 x 32 x 50 inches, and it weighs 264 pounds.
Yes, it’s heavy and large, but most high-end chairs are due to the amount of technology they carry. Kahuna did consider this, though, and made it easy by delivering the LM 9100 fully assembled to your doorstep—now that’s rare!
They also incorporated space-saving technology, a common design element you’ll find in most chairs on the market. The LM 9100 can fully recline with only 5” of clearance from the wall.
Anything less than 5” is considered the industry standard, so Kahuna hit the mark here.
One of the areas they struck out a bit is the max weight capacity. The LM 9100 does well by accommodating a max height of 6’1”, but it only accommodates 280 pounds.
It is considered average, leaving out larger body types. It’s also surprising for this brand since they have a reputation for manufacturing chairs that cater to the tall/large crowd. Unfortunately, not the LM 9100. So if you weigh 300 pounds or more, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

We are happy to report here in our Kahuna LM 9100 review that the model incorporated the best massage track and roller system on the market, which we would expect for the price.
An extensive 45” S/L- track starts at the base of the neck and follows the natural contours of the spine. It also dips underneath the seat, allowing the rollers to reach the glutes and thighs for a true full-body massage.
You’re in for a treat with the 4D roller system, as this renders the most life-like massage experience.
They move vertically and horizontally along the track like dual rollers, but what sets them apart is that they also move away from the track.
This movement allows the rollers to knead deeper into tissue at varying speeds, according to the amount of tension in the area. It feels like real human hands and improves the accuracy of the massage.
In other words, you’re getting the best bang for your buck and therapeutic benefits with this type of advanced setup.
Auto Body Scan
The auto body scan is a common feature you’ll find on most mid to high-range chairs for convenience and a more accurate massage.
When the user sits in the chair and selects a program, the LM 9100 will automatically scan their body, utilizing sensors to detect the pressure points along the back and shoulders.

While lumbar heat feels sublime against sore back muscles, we think Kahuna could’ve done better in this area, considering the price.
Typically, high-end chairs offer more heating elements, including the back and feet/legs or full-body heat.
Heat boosts the therapeutic value considerably, but the LM 9100 keeps it at a minimum.
However, people who suffer from back pain will probably benefit when combining heat with Zero-G seating and the 4D roller massage.

The 7” LCD screen remote is user-friendly with colorful, clear graphics that make navigating the features a piece of cake. All the massage programs are categorized so you can jump right to your favorite massage in seconds.
They also got fancy by offering voice recognition software so you can activate programs simply by speaking.
It is rare to see on the market, but do beware that this type of software tends to be sensitive. For example, if you say a command, the chair might interpret something else.

You can even adjust the duration to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or even 60 minutes! You generally only see 30 minutes max on other massage chairs.

We really don’t have anything bad to say about the LM 9100 massage chair’s foot/calf massage. If you spend long hours on your feet, then you’ll probably be content with the quality of this program.
Kahuna set up the footwells with industry-standard technology, including acupressure scraping rollers underneath the soles and airbags that compress the calves.
The only thing that would have given the foot/calf massage more therapeutic value is if they placed heating pads in the footwells!

These massage options and top-notch technology make the LM 9100 worth the price, in our opinion. Many recliners try to dazzle users with accessories, but what really matters is how comfortable the chair is and how realistic a massage it can deliver.
The Bluetooth and USB capabilities let users plug in their music, and while the voice recognition is a nice touch, it’s not what impresses us the most.
Where you get the best value is with the number of massage options the LM 9100 offers. The 21 auto programs are meticulously curated so that there is a massage for every lifestyle.
